We are seeking a Maintenance / Facilities Technician to troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and install mechanical and auxiliary equipment while supporting production efficiency. This role will also oversee facility maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Position Responsibilities :
Injection Molding Maintenance :
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on molding machines, robots, grinders, thermolators, chillers, conveyor systems, loaders, and dryers.Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns in production equipment.Document completed PMs and repairs in the ERP Software system.Complete work orders and maintenance logs for preventative maintenance scheduling and inventory tracking.Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs during production.Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components, including inspection, machining, and part replacements.Perform minor electrical work such as motor replacement, fuse replacement, and switch installations.Manage spare parts inventory and order necessary components for maintenance and repairs.Handle quoting and vendor relationships for maintenance-related supplies, machine manufacturers, and repairs.Oversee external vendors performing facility installations and projects.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.Facilities Maintenance :
Manage and inspect facilities, equipment, and supplies to meet health and safety regulations.Provide guidance on facility maintenance best practices.Operate and maintain high-power and / or high-voltage equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, power tools, pressure washers, and snow blowers.Inspect and replace filters on HVAC units and injection molding machines.Perform minor maintenance duties including changing light bulbs, monitoring cleaning supplies, and preparing facilities for seasonal changes.Conduct groundskeeping duties such as snow removal and ice management as needed.Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with external service providers.Collaborate with building owners for facility budgeting and maintenance planning.Manage budgets for repairs and contracts while negotiating service provider agreements.Plan, coordinate, and oversee renovations, installations, and refurbishments.Perform other duties as assigned.Position Requirements :
2 years of experience in plastic injection molding maintenance.Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and electrical systems.Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.Must be able to lift 35 lbs and perform physically active duties such as standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.About Spark Talent Acquisition :
