Position : Quality Inspector

Location : Plymouth
Industry : Automotive Manufacturing (Metal Stampings & Welded Assemblies)
Environment : Manufacturing – Exposure to loud machinery, airborne particles, and mechanical equipment
Benefits :Position Summary :
The Quality Inspector ensures compliance with quality policies and procedures while performing dimensional and visual evaluations of production parts. This role supports production associates with proper measurement techniques and inspection instructions while providing critical feedback to toolroom, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
Position Responsibilities :
- Perform dimensional and visual evaluations of production parts, including first / last piece approvals and floor audits.
- Assist production associates with proper usage of measurement instruments and inspection instructions.
- Conduct special quality studies and report findings.
- Provide feedback on dimensional concerns to toolroom, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Walk the production floor regularly to inspect metal stampings.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum two years of quality experience.
- Minimum two years in metal stamping and / or operating a CMM machine.
- Experience with basic computer systems (Plex).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong mathematical skills, including basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Exposure to airborne particles, loud machinery, and vibrations.
- Special vision requirements including color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
