The IT Business Systems Delivery (BSD) Customer Engagement department supports, manages and implements a portfolio of IT system capital initiatives with our Customer Operations, Energy Management and Energy Efficiency business partners. This IT team supports each initiative from conception to implementation and provides the necessary IT support required to either enhance existing systems, create or enhance interfaces and/or design, develop, test and implement new applications.
The Customer Engagement Capital Portfolio Team is seeking a Junior QA Tester to assist the test lead in our Salesforce implementation testing efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and collaborate effectively with our IT delivery and project teams to address issues impacting the design of testable solutions based on business requirements from our product owner and regulator. Key qualifications include robust defect management skills, the ability to foster relationships, and the capability to facilitate and coordinate standard project operations while driving excellence. Role & Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Verify the quality of the requirements, including testability, requirements definition, test design, test-script and test-data development, test automation, test-environment configuration; test-script configuration management, and test execution. Ensure data accuracy and integrity within Salesforce applications.
- Testing Software:Configure test environment for manual and automated tests. Test planning, including development of testing goals and strategy. Test coverage ensuring all use cases are covered.
- Creating Test Cases:Design, develop, and execute test cases and test plans for all types of testing (usability, regression, functional, integration, performance, and unit) for new and existing software features. Develop and initiate opportunities for automated test scripts where applicable and beneficial.
- Guiding business: Assist and guide creation of User Acceptance Testing; Review and help business validate UAT test results. Educate customers and project team about User Acceptance Testing.
- Managing Defects:Detect and document software defects, and work with developers to resolve them. Raise issues, risks and dependencies and identify assumptions.
- Reporting:Provide detailed reports on testing progress and results to stakeholders including leadership and project team. Report against defined business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Collaboration:Work closely with developers, analysts, and other team members throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate meetings with stakeholders throughout the testing process.
- Documentation:Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports. Maintain the Test Traceability Matrix (tracing the test procedures to the test requirements)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software testing and QA.
- Salesforce Training and Utility Experience.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with SQL and scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic salesforce experience, to be able to navigate through and perform test scripts.
- Experience with defect tracking tools like Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools like Selenium.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Energy and Utility Cloud as well as Experience Cloud
- Proficiency in Salesforce, including understanding its integration with other systems like PowerClerk and CCB. This involves creating and executing test scripts, and managing data migration and integration tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, particularly those used in the project such as Azure. This includes setting up and managing testing environments in the cloud.
