Join our team at SPARK, The Children's Museum of Rochester, as one of our Front Desk Specialists! We are looking for an individual with strong customer service skills who enjoys friendly guest interactions for our front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and answer questions about SPARK.
- Process admission sales and member check-ins.
- Promote and sell memberships.
- Sell SPARK Shop items and assist with merchandise inventory.
- Support museum programs and events by providing information to visitors.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
- Answer phone calls and provide information about museum programs and events.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
- Assist with daily museum operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Uphold museum policies and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records for membership sales and visitor data.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience required (retail experience is a plus).
- Comfortable working with a POS/CRM system for transactions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, family-friendly environment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Approximately 25 hours per week with a rotating schedule, including alternate weekday and weekend hours (2 weekends per month) between 9:00AM - 5:00PM, Tuesday-Sunday.
- More hours may be available depending on scheduling availability.
