What are the responsibilities and job description for the SPARK Children's Museum Team position at SPARK?
We have so many excited things happening this summer and we need your help at SPARK, The Children's Museum of Rochester!
We're on the search for individuals with a desire to work with children and families in a fun and fast paced environment where all visitors are encouraged to learn through play and exploration. Our Sparkologists are a vital part of the team at the museum and take part in museum floor operations and activities on a daily basis.
Main duties include:
- Exhibit Oversight - Engage with visitors in our interactive exhibits, pick up and return props to their necessary exhibits when needed, and ensure all exhibit spaces remain clean and safe
- Programming and Activities - set up, lead or participate in various programs, projects and activities in our Imagination Station and Maker Space
Excellent customer service is required, and a friendly positive attitude is a must. Candidates should be willing to work with a team in a fun and creative environment. Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.
SPARK can offer part - time hours and a flexible schedule! SPARK's hours are Tuesday - Sunday 9am - 5pm and Thursday 9am - 6pm. This position would require some weekend availability. Ideal applicants should be available to work approx 20 hours/week including both weekday and weekend shifts.
