About SparkGrounds
SparkGrounds, a brand of Two Seventeen Holdings LLC, is a diverse provider of in-person educational opportunities for the PreK-12 student in the Tampa Bay Area.
- SparkGrounds Enrichment provides in-person, hands-on STEM and art enrichment classes for children aged 3 to 18, including classes in robotics, circuitry, 3D printing, art, and science.
- SGCLUB by SparkGrounds creates in-person clubs and related opportunities designed to support a child’s education (through tutoring and homework helper programs) and social development (through gaming, makers, and dance clubs).
- SparkGrounds Academy provides a Montessori-inspired and project-based full-time learning environment for the first through sixth-grade student (and eventually for the Pre-K to twelfth-grade student) with a focus on STEM, art, and out-of-classroom experiences.

The Program Director will be responsible for developing the school’s educational programs, leading and supporting teachers, and working closely with the company founders. This role will blend leadership, curriculum development, and hands-on teaching to help SparkGrounds Academy realize its vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Leadership: Design and implement a Montessori-inspired, project-based curriculum that aligns with Florida standards and prioritizes STEM and arts education.
- Teacher Support: Recruit, mentor, and oversee teachers to ensure they feel empowered and supported in our innovative environment.
- Teaching: Lead lessons and act as a model for best practices by directly engaging with students and teachers in the classroom.
- Student Achievement: Foster an environment where each student feels valued and encouraged to explore their passions while meeting academic benchmarks.
- Innovation: Design, plan, and Incorporate experiential, outdoor, and community-based learning experiences to enhance student engagement.
- Parent & Community Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents and the community to design social opportunities for the entire campus community and to build trust and excitement for our innovative programs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Extensive and verifiable experience in education, teaching, and leadership roles.
- Curriculum Development: Strong background in developing engaging, standards-aligned educational programs.
- Montessori Expertise: Montessori training and/or a degree from a Montessori program preferred.
- Educational Credentials: A degree in curriculum development or education (Master’s preferred).
- Florida Certification: Active or eligible Florida teaching license required with the ability to pass a Level II background check.
- Passion: Enthusiasm for working with children and developing their potential.
- Visionary Leadership: A love for innovation and a deep understanding of project-based, student-led learning approaches.
What We Offer:
- Compensation: SparkGrounds Academy is fully-funded and the Program Director is the paramount position within the Academy. As such, the Director will be paid a salary that is based on experience and that begins at a minimum of $55,000 per year (with near-immediate opportunities for raises).
