Janitorial Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in commercial and residential settings.
• Maintain floors through buffing and floor care techniques to ensure they are clean and polished.
• Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
• Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
• Carry out custodial duties such as emptying trash bins, sanitizing restrooms, and cleaning windows.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained properly.
• Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing is a plus.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to janitorial duties.
