Wash Depot Holdings, Inc DBA Sparkling Image Car Wash is seeking an experienced Car Wash Facilities Manager in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area.

Sparkling Image Car Wash is one of the nation’s largest full-service car wash companies, operating full-service car washes, detail centers, lube centers & gas station/convenience stores under Sparkling Image, Eager Beaver and Sparkling Image Express Oil Change brands.
Position Summary: The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day handling of maintenance, repair and facilities management of all locations and physical infrastructure & equipment, administers the computerized maintenance management system, monitors budgets, prepares reports, and ensures compliance with safety regulations and applicable Company policies and procedures.
The Facilities Manager also works closely with other departments and oversees the work of vendors, contractors and maintenance staff and provides training and support to Field Operations Teams. This position reports to and works closely with the National Facilities Director.
This is a Full-time position, 50 hours per week must have flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for repairs and emergency breakdowns. Must have experience working with commercial car wash systems. Travel approximately up to 50% of the time for field site visits. Starting base salary up to $110k, depending on experience.
Job Duties / Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment and grounds at all Wash Depot’s facilities nationwide to identify and mitigate potential hazards, equipment failures and safety issues.
- Identify root cause of equipment problems and develop and prioritize repairs and solutions with Field Maintenance and Operations Staff.
- Administrator of “Maintain X” - Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) – Manage, monitor and approve service work and equipment requests.
- Develop, document and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
- Coaching and training of Location Management and Maintenance Techs in the field on various topics such as facilities management, equipment maintenance and repair, and the use of the CMMS platform.
- Review, recommend, document and implement company standard operating procedures, best practices and safety initiatives in collaboration with Human Resources and Operations Team.
- Supervise / lead Field Maintenance Techs during large or complex equipment installations.
- Research and develop technical solutions to problems that are escalated from the Field Maintenance Techs.
- Project Management of large or technical projects that support the operations and Field Management Team – overseeing day to day projects to successful completion.
- Communicates and collaborates with Field Management, Corporate Office Departments, and Outside Vendors for efficient facilities management.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Travel approximately up to 50% of the time for field site visits
Skill Requirements:
- Education and/or experience in Facilities Maintenance / Management or other related field.
- Technical / Mechanical experience and aptitude, including working understanding and repair knowledge of car wash equipment, physical facilities, electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and plc controllers.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or ability to learn.
- Experience with accounting programs such as NetSuite or similar, and Facilities Management Software or ability to learn.
- Knowledge of facilities and safety / OSHA regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work flexible beyond 40 hours per week, including some nights and weekends.
- Experience and ability to oversee/supervise maintenance staff employees.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize, set goals and reach targets.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to details and sense of urgency.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel to different States to visit all Company locations.
- Ability to perform work in outdoors all-weather environment in varying temperatures.
- Prolonged periods of walking and standing.
- Frequently perform physical activities such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, squatting, reaching and use of ladders.
- Regularly required to operate tools and equipment.
- Must have physical ability to lift and repair car wash, oil change equipment.
- Ability to carry/lift/push/pull or move up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly speak in person or on the phone with employees and vendors.
