Pond Technician

At Sparkling Ponds, we’re looking for a dedicated team member to join our crew. We specialize in koi pond construction, water feature installations, Pondless waterfalls , Spring deap cleanings, maintenance bi weekly programs , expansions and repairs (changing out broken pumps, Locating and repairing water leaks , installing filters, placing rocks , giving long term solutions to common issues like algae control and fish health!

because Pond work is a seasonal job being The busiest from April through September we hire hire a number of people based on demand from previous years to compare to and our constant growth that’s came year after year,

Remember we are a service based business , so our demand fluctuates throughout the year. we try to provide as much work and opportunity as you can handle , but there can be slower times say if we have a week of really bad weather, or Sometimes will have so much calls for help were booked out a full month out, but we do are best to hire a combination of full time and half time employees to stay prepared to handle the demand That we have every year. But we make sure your paid well and work with you to quickly learn more skills making you more money and able to take on a bigger variety of responsibilities .

There will be large builds we’re most thee entire crew will work together at the same location for weeks, to many times (after your trained )you’ll be sent to do cleanings, and many jobs that’s come with the pond business

But you’ll see with new skills learned slso come raises. plus there’s opportunity to become a manager that will run there own team.

Duties

• Perform pond care services including cleaning using power washer and other specialized tools, to clean water features to look new and clean for the summer.

• Conduct leaking water locating and patching in mostly residential and commercial settings.

• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.

• Operate farm machinery as needed for maintenance and landscaping projects.

• Drive to job sites, ensuring timely arrival and completion of tasks.

• Assist in sales efforts by providing knowledgeable recommendations to clients regarding services offered.

• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition to ensure safety and efficiency.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Experience

• Previous experience in manual labor or landscaping is Bonus.

• Familiarity with basic common sense and safety is a plus.

• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

You won’t be asked To do something you haven’t been trained on how to do alone until your ready , most important is people that constantly keep busy in times when your directed to a specific task Is finished and your waiting further instructions , as well as keeping positive Attitude as an example to all current and new employees. To be punctual and On time when scheduled.

having a vehicle is crucial to this work being that we are constantly working in different residential addresses mostly through salt lake county , throughout the season. (If you drive a vehicle that has a tow hitch please let us know (As we pay a bonus if you transport one of our fleet of small trailers.

There light weight with just a power washer , bins for the fish and other needed equipment for specific jobs, but not necessary for the job.
