Primary Responsibilities :
- Assumes all routine production responsibilities of the Operations Leader in the leader's absence.
- Troubleshoots production issues and secures necessary assistance to resolve them.
- Reviews production schedule and assigns work to facilitate meeting schedules.
- Establishes an orderly flow of parts, tools and materials.
- Keeps production records and monitors for accuracy of reporting.
- In conjunction with Quality monitors line quality and notifies personnel of deviations.
- Assists manager in performance reviews, recommends disciplinary action, promotion, etc.
- Is an advocate for LEAN within group; encourages LEAN thinking and supports and assists in the implementation of LEAN initiatives / KAIZENS.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations / company policies and procedures relating to workmanship.
- Trains new operators and cross-trains as assigned.
- May be responsible for coordinating activities with other contractors.
- Performs work on aircraft and may also fill in for absent operators as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
