Job Details

  • Job Summary : Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Room at Sparrow Hospital, part of Sparrow Health System - MSP.
  • Start Date : ASAP
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks
  • On Call : No
  • Weekend : Yes - 3 weekends (Fri-Sun) per 4 week schedule
  • Floating : Yes – Peds possible
  • Required Experience : Level I trauma experience REQUIRED, 2 year minimum experience PREFERRED.

  • State license required
  • ACLS required
  • BCLS by AHA required
  • PALS required
  • TNCC required
  • ENPC required (pending acceptance)
  • NIH Stroke Certification required for stroke center facility.

    • Schedule Information

  • RTO MUST BE SUBMITTED AT TIME OF SUBMITTAL, NO ADDITIONAL RTO WILL BE APPROVED LATER ON
  • RTO BLOCKED 3 / 31-4 / 13, 4 / 18-4 / 20
  • High patient ratios of 1 : 5-6, could be up to 8 depending on patient influx.

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Unit Specific Competency Exam required
  • Modules will be completed onsite at orientation.

    • Additional Details

  • Modules are NOT billable; please margin for 5 hours
  • Traveler has required certifications, TNCC and ENPC
  • Unit accepts 1st time travelers
  • Continuous IV sedation and Procedural Sedation Administration experience preferred.
