Overview:
Sparta Area Schools is looking for a dedicated and passionate Instructional Coach to join our team. The Elementary Instructional Coach will serve the students and staff of Sparta by working collaboratively with teachers at both Ridgeview and Appleview to enhance instructional practices, implement evidence-based strategies, and support student achievement. This role involves providing personalized coaching, supporting professional learning communities, and helping to drive the implementation of best practices within classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with elementary teachers to assess instructional practices and provide tailored coaching support.
- Assist teachers in developing lesson plans and delivering high-quality instruction.
- Support the implementation of curriculum initiatives and district-wide instructional goals.
- Model effective teaching strategies.
- Facilitate professional learning sessions, workshops, and ongoing teacher development.
- Analyze student data to identify areas for growth and create strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Foster a positive, growth-oriented professional learning environment for all staff.
- Stay current on educational trends, research, and best practices and integrate this knowledge into coaching efforts.
- Collaborate with school leadership and district staff to support school improvement goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Elementary Education.
- Proven experience as a successful elementary classroom teacher
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, curriculum design, and assessment practices.
- Experience in coaching or mentoring educators (preferred).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instructional decisions.
- A passion for supporting teachers and improving student achievement.
