Cook’s experience. On-the-job training. Must have good people skills. Will assist in preparation and serving of food. Must be able to multi-task and adapt quickly to change in routine. Must be able to work well with others and agree to adapt to the “SCH Standards of Behavior”.
Purpose/Position Summary:
This employee will work the various Dietary shifts. The morning shift involves preparing food for the patients, cafeteria and catering jobs, working in the dish room, washing pots and pans and the operation of the cafeteria. The evening shift may involve producing the patient’s meal and re-thermalizing or producing the cafeteria supper meal. The evening shift also involves much department cleanup in the process of closing the department down for the night. The evening shift, generally speaking, is a slower paced shift with fewer changes, interruptions and catering jobs. All shifts involve patient care and contact.
