APG Technician
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented APG Technician to support aircraft maintenance operations with a focus on airframe systems, powerplant components, and related mechanical systems. The APG Technician will play a key role in ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 years of hands-on experience with APG systems in a commercial, military, or MRO environment.
- Strong understanding of aircraft mechanical systems, especially airframe, hydraulic, pneumatic, and powerplant operations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and schematics.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and in time-sensitive environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and work in confined spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications to aircraft airframe and powerplant systems.
- Maintain and service aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, and environmental control systems.
- Support the maintenance and repair of auxiliary power units (APUs), engines, and engine-related components.
- Interpret and apply technical manuals, FAA regulations, and OEM documentation.
- Complete all maintenance paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Use precision tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure systems meet manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain compliance with company safety policies and FAA guidelines.
- Assist in aircraft towing, jacking, and ground handling operations as needed.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient workflow and turnaround times.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Part 145 repair station or large MRO facility.
- Military aviation background a plus.
Work Environment:
This position involves working in hangar environments, outdoors on flight lines, and in repair shops. It may include exposure to loud noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
