Forklift Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our facility while maintaining a safe and organized environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification/license required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Minimum [insert years] of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Basic math and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack materials in designated areas in the warehouse or production facility.
- Inspect forklift equipment before use and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and assist with cycle counts as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
- Assist in other warehouse or production tasks as needed.
Work Environment:
- Airport environment with exposure to varying in noise levels.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
