Job Summary:
We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist – Battery to oversee and optimize the procurement, logistics, and inventory management of battery components and materials. Based in Greenville, SC, this role requires a detail-oriented professional with at least two years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the battery, EV, or energy storage industries. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient sourcing, supplier coordination, and supply chain resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement and supplier relationships for battery materials and components, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages while minimizing excess stock.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, logistics, and quality teams to streamline supply chain operations.
- Analyze supply chain risks and develop strategies to enhance resilience and minimize disruptions.
- Track and report key performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and sustainability standards related to battery sourcing and transportation.
- Utilize supply chain software and ERP systems to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement, preferably in battery, EV, or advanced manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of battery materials, components, and supply chain dynamics.
- Experience with supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations and hazardous material handling is a plus.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain software, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with battery cell sourcing, lithium-ion technology, or alternative energy storage solutions.
- Knowledge of lean supply chain principles and sustainability initiatives.
- Certification in APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma is a plus.
