Job Title : Benefits Coordinator
Location : Kalamazoo, MI (on-site)
Pay Rate : $20 - $24 per hour
Employment Type : Full-Time
Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Benefits Coordinator for a client in Kalamazoo, MI . This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of experience in benefits administration who is passionate about helping employees navigate their benefits options. The Benefits Coordinator will play a key role in supporting HR functions by managing employee benefits programs, answering benefits-related questions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and federal / state regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company offerings.
Assist employees with benefit enrollments, changes, and questions.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal and state laws (such as ACA, COBRA, and FMLA).
Work closely with insurance providers and vendors to resolve issues.
Support open enrollment processes, employee communications, and benefits education initiatives.
Process benefits-related documentation and maintain HRIS systems.
Assist in leave of absence administration, including disability and FMLA claims.
Qualifications :
2 years of experience in benefits administration or human resources.
Knowledge of employee benefits, compliance regulations, and HR best practices.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
