Location: 24 miles southwest of Detroit, MI
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Spartan Capital Group is partnering with a leading automotive manufacturer to find a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join their team. Technical Expertise & Experience
Quality Standards & Compliance
Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, TS 16949, or similar quality management systems.
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, 8D, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and FMEA processes.
Experience conducting internal and supplier audits and closing out findings.
Automotive Manufacturing Background
Prior work in an automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier environment is highly desirable.
Familiarity with cylinder liner operations, metallic materials, or PCU components is a plus.
Experience working with international clients is a strong advantage.
Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement
Hands-on experience with Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to troubleshoot quality issues, implement corrective actions, and improve processes.
Soft Skills & Leadership
Strong Communication & Customer Interaction
Ability to liaise with customers regarding quality issues and conduct customer site visits.
Experience handling customer complaints, implementing corrective actions, and managing supplier relationships.
Collaboration & Training Abilities
Comfort working with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, supply chain, HR, sales).
Ability to train production operators and office personnel on quality and safety procedures.
Detail-Oriented & Analytical Thinking
Strong data analysis skills to assess quality metrics and drive improvement.
High attention to detail in maintaining quality policies and documentation.
Certifications & Education
Preferred Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
Certifications in Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), IATF Lead Auditor, or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) are a plus.
