Senior Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to be based in western Kentucky ! We are targeting a subject matter expert in extrusion, hydraulic presses, and / or metal forming . This role offers a strong relocation package for qualified candidates who are willing to move to the area.
Position Summary
This role applies engineering and manufacturing expertise to develop and improve processes in quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. The engineer will lead value stream initiatives, oversee major plant expenditures, support new equipment acquisitions, and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles to optimize manufacturing processes, focusing on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and process capability.
- Design manufacturing processes that align with product, delivery, and cost requirements. Manage the design and implementation of new machines and tooling.
- Lead and participate in Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) teams, overseeing project cycles from concept to implementation.
- Develop and implement new technologies in collaboration with R&D teams and external partners.
- Provide technical support to account managers and serve as a liaison with external partners as needed.
- Conduct engineering and cost analyses to support process improvements.
- Maintain engineering databases, including bills of materials, routing and production standards, drawings, and process sheets.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, maintaining necessary documentation and reporting.
- Support plant management by ensuring proper tools, documentation, and resources are available for operations.
- Contribute to quality and workplace efficiency programs, including 5S and safety initiatives.
