Summary

The EVP, Chief Financial Officer will be the financial leader for a recognized and growing leader in the aviation education market. The CFO will direct and oversee all financial activities of Spartan Education Group, LLC, including directing the preparation of monthly financial reporting, forecasting, audits, and treasury functions including cash management and capital raising.

Essential Functions

  • Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cashflow statements, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Compare revenue and expense projections to budgeted expenses to actual expenses; make or oversee any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  • Analyzes operations to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Works with the President and Chief Executive Officer and other senior executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
  • Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in revenue and market share.
  • Analyzes acquisition opportunities including evaluating valuation and structure, financial prospects, QoE process, due diligence and transaction documentation.
  • Oversee investment of funds and work to raise additional capital required for expansion.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and possess basic computer skills.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversee Accounting and Finance department, budget preparation, audit functions and treasury functions.
  • Works with other department heads to monitor and control the financial performance of the Company.
  • Education And Work Experience

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in financial management required.
  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years of management experience preferred.
  • M&A experience required.
  • Title IV experience a plus.
  • Certificates, License, Registrations

  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
