Summary
The Director of Admissions is responsible for directing and coordinating the work of the Admissions staff to generate interest in campus programs and to achieve recruitment and enrollment goals. The Director of Campus Admissions will lead, mentor, develop and motivate Admissions teams and to ensure that all admissions activities are compliant with regulatory guidelines. This position evaluates individual and team performance to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of recruiting highly qualified students with the potential of graduate and achieve their career objectives. The Director of Campus Admissions helps to ensure all Admissions staff members maintain a focus on helping students successfully start school and be successful in their program and help to ensure that they are tireless in pursuing prospective graduate enrollees who are passionate, motivated, and committed to changing their lives through career education. The Director of Admissions participates as a member of the Campus Management Team.
Essential Functions
Administrative Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage budget, staff accountabilities, and metrics, including recruiting and team performance.
- Understand, support, and adhere to all organization policies and Code of Conduct.
- Provide on-going training to staff and promote both in-house and off-site training for staff in order to foster personal and professional development and growth.
- Generate reports and accurate weekly and class forecasts.
- Prepare departmental financial and other forecasts and control direct cost expenses to forecasts through departmental purchasing authority consistent with policy.
- Establish and communicate accountabilities and performance expectation for all direct reports using institution approved tools.
- Establish standards and serve as a role model for department and College employees for positive attitude, attendance and work performance.
- Continually manage and evaluate staffing levels, divisions of responsibility, and organizational structure with respect to marketing activity.
- Complete weekly, yearly, and end-of-term reviews to assure results are monitored and team maintains acceptable results and level of service to students.
- Participate in school management team meetings and share notes of own departmental meetings with other department heads to maintain awareness of actions and planned activities.
- Assure departmental representation as appropriate on task forces and teams.
- Actively seek ways to provide assistance to other departments in achieving operating objectives not necessarily under direct control or accountability.
- Identify ways other departments may assist in meeting accrediting agency accountabilities and solicit support to gain assistance.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, as need.
Management of Admission Representative, Admission Support:
- Interview, hire and manage admission staff for the various operations department.
- Maintain weekly hours and monthly timesheets in accordance to eligibility.
- Manage workloads for representatives and coordinators on a daily basis.
- Responsible for planning, assigning and directing work; appraising employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Ensure adherence by all employees to policies and procedures set forth by HR and Campus President.
- Establish regular staff meetings to ensure communication, feedback, and development of productive work processes.
- Assist staff on an as needed basis.
- Maintain a safe and quality working and learning environment including.
- In cooperation with campus leadership, ensure adherence by students to policies and procedures and address student complaints and concerns.
- Participate in new student orientation, program advisory meetings, student appreciation events etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of a team of admission representative’s and admission support staff
Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Five (5) years of management experience required.
- Ability to communicate professionally.
- Passion for results, strong work ethic, and a winning attitude.
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Title IV regulations, applicable policies and procedures and regulatory.

- Admission License for Specific States Required
