Current Shift Available: 2nd Shift
**Shift Availability: All shifts include necessary availability with rotating weekend shifts. Weekend availability is required.*
2nd: (03:00pm-11:30pm). $17.00/hour. Plus a $2.00 shift premium. Employee's may be eligible for an increase after passing a 90-day performance and attendance review. *
Spartan Composites manufactures strong, long-lasting composite mats.
The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot assigned machines. Accountable for inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain product quality.
The Machine Operator will set up and operate a production machine following all designated check lists.
Safety and Security
- Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
- Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
- Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and safety personnel.
- Follow company specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
- Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
- Follow company safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
- Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
- Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.

Physical Tasks
- Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
