QA Technician
Postition Summary
The Quality Technician is part of an important team that is responsible for Quality. The QA Technician will possess complete and total knowledge of Spartan Composites products.
The QA Technician will inspect the final product to make sure it has been built to standards and meets customer expectations. This role focuses on understanding the requirements for the product/service and has a sense of responsibility towards the Company and existing customers.
The QA technician will inspect all incoming materials and conduct appropriate testing, reporting out the results to designated individuals.
This is a very hands-on position reporting directly to the Plant Engineer.
Must be willing to vary hours as needed to detect and correct quality issues.
Experience and Basic Competencies
Quality
§ Fully understand specifications for products and processes
§ Assure all specifications are met
§ Identify quality issues immediately and work to assign accountability.
§ Work with the Engineering Team to ensure requirements for raw material or intermediate products from suppliers meet standards
§ Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements; disposition as needed
§ identify deviations from quality standards- report to Plant Engineer for final disposition
§ Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
§ Review opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures
§ Support supervisors, machine operators and others while providing guidance and feedback on quality

§ Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Physical Tasks
§ Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
§ Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
§ Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
§ Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.75 per hour
