Spartan Contracting Corporation is a commercial construction firm based in Tampa, FL. We are a small company in need of a temporary Office Assistant to provide administrative support for our HR and Accounting departments. This is a one month assignment which may be considered for permanent hire following an evaluation period.
Skills Required:

Job Summary:
The Office Assistant will provide support to the heads of Accounting & HR department by assisting with Paycor implementation and build-out, data entry, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have at least one year experience in similar role and be familiar with HR, payroll and accounting processes and procedures. The Office Assistant will work closely with the HR Coordinator to ensure that all HR tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with general office administration such as ordering office supplies
- Enter employee data into HRIS system
- Provide administrative support to the HR and Accounting departments
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
- Assist with benefits administration
- Assist with HR and Accounting projects, such as I9 file audits
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience as a Human Resources Assistant
- Be a self-starter and able to problem solve
- Knowledge of HR processes and procedures
- Excellent data entry skills
- Strong administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
