What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Manager position at Spartan Light Metal Products?
1. Provides leadership and direction to the maintenance, melt, and CNC technical teams. Ensures effective distribution of work, timely completion of tasks, quality of work, and safety standards/goals are met.
2. Leads maintenance services, including preventative/predictive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and performance improvement for machinery/equipment to minimize downtime and achieve productivity goals.
3. Manages the Work Order system in Plex and ensures accurate recording of work history on equipment and facility, including preventative/predictive, breakdown and projects. Utilizes this information in evaluation of repair frequency, time, labor and costs.
4. Maintains the Equipment Master database within Plex.
5. Monitors equipment downtime reports, oil consumption, cutting tool usage, and repair part usage. Leads improvement activities in these areas, ensuring actions plans are established and responsibilities defined.
6. Performs project management duties, ensuring the project scope, goals and deliverables support the required outcome(s).
7. Collaborates with the purchasing department to ensure competitive pricing on materials/parts and timely delivery.
8. Supports lean manufacturing initiatives with effective department performance and equipment oversight.
9. Contributes to and supports the existence of a positive work environment through personal involvement by communicating, interacting and behaving in a manner that promotes productive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, customers, vendors and others with whom such relationships are important to the success of company operations.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required: High School Diploma or GED, 8 years of manufacturing maintenance work experience
Completion of advanced training in machine maintenance, including, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, and CNC
5 years leadership experience (demonstrated leadership skills in current or former job may be substituted for experience)
Preferred: Technical Degree or Certification
Experience in Casting, Metal Melting, and Machining
