What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician position at Spartan Vision Center?
Spartan Vision Center has immediate positions for experienced optometric technicians. Candidate must be poeple oriented, customer service oriented, work work efficently in small area with team members. This is a great opportunity to join new and well respected eye care practice inside of Costco, E. Lansing, where you have the ability to share, create and explore new ways to deliver the best eyecare experience to all patients.
Duties include the following :
Pre-testing patinets including autorefraction, autolensometry, Optos and fundus photos
Checking patients in & out of appointments, Scheduling / confirming appointsment throughout the day via telephone, online schedule and walk ins.
Responsible for entering patient correctly into electronic health records, eyecare insturments and processing payments
Responsible for understanding contact lenses, from branding to the different types and when and how we use them.
Candidate must have a strong and understanding working knwledge of glasses, contact lens and how they can best be applied to patients of all ages.
Candidate must be open to working weekends ( Saturday, Sunday hrs )
