The Revenue Analyst, Finance serves as a primary point of contact for revenue for all products under the Spartan Brand on a global basis. On a day-to-day basis, you will be a true business partner and go-to person for all things revenue and analytical support, thinking and going beyond budget variances to help drive Spartan to achieve our operational goals and strategy.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop workflows to ensure timely and accurate capture of all ticket, sponsorship, licensee and merchandise revenue across all product lines
  • Build and analyze various monthly / weekly revenue reports with accuracy and insight;
  • Develop and maintain enhanced revenue analytics, trend analysis, and predictive insights for scenario planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Analyze KPIs and unit economics of sales to identify risks/opportunities
  • Weekly Event Revenue Flash and Monthly MTD/YTD/FY reporting
  • Identify and analyze key drivers / trends and variances across various segments, product categories, pipelines, etc.
  • Leverage data to tell a story and present it through data visualizations in compelling dashboards and reports
  • Support the Accounting team in the month end revenue close process
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing in annual budget development and forecast and as needed
  • Partner to key business stakeholders as it relates to Revenue
  • Additional responsibilities include:
  • Navigate and disseminate large data sets while testing / ensuring accuracy
  • Proactively identify problems and data discrepancies and also opportunities for improvements / new initiatives to grow revenue
  • Participate in audits and external analytical revenue support as needed
  • Perform ad-hoc business case and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives
  • Communication and presentation of complex data in an easy to understand way across many levels of the organization

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or similar analytical business roles with strong business acumen and ability to execute quickly
  • Experience with event based accounting, revenue recognition, deferred revenue policies and procedures,
  • Demonstrated experience with revenue operations tools and systems (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Holistic, Looker, Google Workspace)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel beyond basic functions and formulas, encompassing advanced techniques like pivot tables, complex formulas, arrays, data manipulation, automation, and data visualization
  • Excel at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and building relationships across stakeholder groups
  • The ability to define and communicate potential problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions, and make sound recommendations
  • You’re passionate about integrating and using AI to uncover new insights in data, utilizing AI to work more efficiently
  • You will be a self-starter, self-motivated, able to think independently and at the same time, eager to continue to learn and develop your skill set. You will be a thinker and a problem solver with an eye for process improvement.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Experience in NetSuite, Hyperion, or Oracle
  • SalesForce.com, HubSpot
  • Asana or Monday.com
  • Understanding of US GAAP / IFRS
  • Bill.com, Event Ticketing Platforms, Stripe.com or comparable platforms
