What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Head Start Center Director position at Spartanburg County First Steps?
Function: The Center Director manages the Early Head Start (EHS) center and classroom operations, including oversight of daily activities and events in the classroom, supervision and evaluation of staff, scheduling and assignment of staff to specific job responsibilities, and regular communication with parents concerning all aspects of the child’s health and development. Collaboration with the EHS Team to ensure compliance with all H.S. Performance Standards and policies. Implementation of South Carolina ABC Enhanced Standards, South Carolina Day Care Licensing Laws and Regulations and USDA Regulations.
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration: A minimum of a child development associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential. Prior experience with infants and toddler care and as a center director. Must have ability to adhere to effective communication with diverse groups, record keeping and management of center and staff skills. References required. Competitive salary and state benefits.
