After-School Program Staff
Responsible for helping students develop and strengthen academic, physical, and social skills by providing assistance and tutoring to students in the after-school program.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in planning and implementation of academic, enrichment, health, and recreational extra-curricular learning experiences for students.
- Assists tutoring of students in academic subjects such as reading, writing, math, and other areas.
- Provides one-on-one and small group instruction, utilizing a variety of teaching techniques.
- Works effectively with students in after school activities and assists with behavior management, discipline, interpersonal actions, and acts as a role model.
- Promotes good habits for the purpose of improving the quality of student outcomes and encouraging student development.
- Follows all district and school policies, rules, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Conducts duties in an office/school/work environment with no significant exposure to environmental conditions. Physical demands are restricted to office work requiring lifting/moving of items up to 25 pounds. Job requires the operation of standard office equipment.
