Position Information
The Athletic Training Resident renders service or treatment under the direction of a physician including prevention, immediate care, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, rehabilitation and reconditioning, administration and organization relating to athletic injury or illness. They coordinate Athletic Training coverage for community-based events. They are responsible for coverage and care of athletes as assigned by the Sports Medicine Institute Manager. They participate in community events/presentations, staff education, and other departmental activities as requested by the supervisor, manager, or director.
The AT Resident will be assigned to one of the following institutions as primary work site:

University of South Carolina – Upstate

Minimum Requirements
Education
- BS in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited athletic training program
Experience:
- N/A
Licenses/Registrations/ Certifications
- BOC Certification
- CPR-AHA BLS
- SC DHEC Athletic Training Certification or eligible – Must obtain within 60 days of employment
