Job Description
Primary Objectives
- Ensure that automated production equipment is maintained and operated at optimum capability.
Essential Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed)
- Ensure equipment is performing effectively and efficiently.
- Eliminate reoccurring failures.
- Provides technical guidance for CMMS.
- Promotes equipment standardization.
- Consults with maintenance crafts works on technical problems.
- Develops standards for major maintenance overhauls and shutdowns.
- Provides technical guidance for the preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Performs benchmarking studies by monitoring competitor’s activities in maintenance management.
- Serves as focal point for monitoring performance indicators and maintenance management.
- Responsible for analyzing equipment, operating data.
- Provide technical support to maintenance and production personnel
- Review, update and maintain equipment documentation
- Support training for maintenance technicians
- Review and update spare parts inventory with supply integrators
- Plan project timelines with maintenance planner, production, and vendors to minimize downtime for repairs and upgrades
- Administration, control and analysis of all data, records, and equipment histories to continually review and refine PM frequencies
- Development of engineering solutions to repetitive equipment failures and other maintenance problems
- Implementing ways of reducing the need for maintenance and ultimately eliminating the occurrence of failures
Qualifications
Requirements
- 5 years experience with operation of robotic material transfer and assembly operations (to include mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance, PLC programming, servo drive programming and troubleshooting)
- 5 years experience working with ABB robotics required
- Electrical design, installation and startup of automated stamping and assembly equipment
- BSEE, AAS electronics engineering or equivalent education and experience preffered
- Application specific training for PLC and Robots
- PC knowledge, DOS and Windows applications
- Training and experience in instrumentation, welding, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic control
