advance to more complex assembly/build roles with higher hourly pay.
Seasonal hires are typically evaluated for conversion after 60 days. Attendance and performance will be key!

Available Shift:
- 2nd Shift 4:00pm to 2:30am Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Some Friday/Overtime may be required.
*Please NOTE: Seasonal hires are not eligible for Sparton benefits. If converted, Benefits eligibility will be effective on the day of conversion.
Position Objective
The Seasonal Machine Operators are responsible for packaging, assembly and manufacturing Sparton products in accordance with documented requirements and specification to meet the quality standards of our customers. This position may require standing or sitting for a significant portion of the work shift. This position may also require frequent movement throughout the manufacturing operation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Mechanical and/or electrical operations or assemblies involving fixed indicating meters, in-circuit test/functional test, marking machines, jigs & fixtures, packaging equipment, various types of fastening devices involving power operations, hand tools and gauges (fixed, micrometers, calipers, rulers).
- Utilization of various tools including scanners, tablets and computers
- May assemble and/or repair printed wiring assemblies (PWA), subassemblies, instruments, and final assemblies of various components utilizing a wide range of tools, work processes and skills to approved documented procedures/specifications.
- May perform soldering operations including, board, wires and connectors
- Perform quality inspections on materials and finished product. Quality checks include product packaging, labels and weights
- Notify responsible personnel if out of specifications are observed, and assist in resolution as appropriate
- Report and/or correct safety issues and maintain proper safety conditions of the equipment and work area.
- Participate in training, pre-shift meetings and team assignments and audits
- Perform daily clean-up of assigned work areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Preferred Experience
- High School Diploma or GED is required and will be verified.
- Prior experience with production/assembly is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions in English.
- Ability to add/subtract whole numbers, fractions and decimals using direct reading, gauge, rulers and scales.
- Ability to work with Personal Protective Equipment including safety glasses and gloves.
- Successfully completing 1-hour on-site, Post Offer Employment Test.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.
