Spartronics is seeking a Junior Buyer to join our team in Williamsport, PA. Your primary responsibilities will be assisting in the procurement process by obtaining quotes, negotiating prices, and issuing purchase orders for electronic components and materials. Coordinating with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
Position: Junior Buyer
Location- Works on-site in Williamsport, PA
Reports to- Supply Chain Manager
What a Day Looks Like:
- Checking part stock levels
- Assisting buyers to create plans to cover shortages (line of balance activities)
- Provide inputs/data for effective scheduling
- Communicate by email, phone, and meetings to track, expedite, or trouble shoot issues with part quantities/deliveries
- Provide backup for other buyer accounts
- Offer suggestions for workflow process improvement
Requirements
Requirements and Skills:
- Education- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred
- Ideal years of experience: 2 years of office experience, business processes, or relevant work experience
- Excel- Strong/Proficient Excel skills including advanced formulas, use of pivot tables, v-look up, and effective use of the program to work efficiently.
- Proficient written and verbal skills for customer contact.
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent math skills and an attention to detail, an ability to learn computer systems, and think critically.
- Previous Manufacturing industry experience, preferred
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well with others and work cross functionally with other team members
