As an Electronics Assembler, this role is responsible to assemble, disassemble, and repair electronic assemblies in a flexible manufacturing environment in accordance with standardized processes, procedures or methods. This position may require frequent movement throughout the manufacturing operation.
What a Day Looks Like:
- Activates controls to apply electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical power and subject testitemsm to successive steps in test cycle.
- Confers with engineering personnel to resolve fabrication problems relating to specifications and to review test plans such as types and cycles of tests, conditions under which tests are to be conducted, and duration of tests, according to manufacturing procedures.
- Monitors controls and instruments and records test data for engineer's quality, and training use.
- Documents the results of troubleshooting/failure analysis of failed products to maintain records and provides corrective and preventive action following procedures
- Perform calibration and adjustment of assemblies following specific instructions.
- Initiate and maintain accurate paperwork and records as required by the job.
- Responsible for daily clean-up of all assigned work areas.
- May operate various machines and equipment associated with the product line, including the use of various hand tools.
- Interact with the computer to enter/extract data and follow assembly processes
MUST BE ABLE TO FLEX TO OTHER OPERATOR JOBS
Safety: Ensure that all assignments are performed in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Provincial and Company safety and health regulations, and where applicable, proper personal protective equipment is utilized.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic testing equipment and software.
- Experience and/or a vocational-technical certificate in electronics.
- Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Able to present information and respond to questions with peers, managers, clients, customers, and the general public on technical subjects.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Able to follow complex schematic diagrams, assembly drawings and test specifications.
- Ability to develop logical troubleshooting techniques based on an understanding of the product performance and test requirements.
- Ability to operate electronic test equipment specifically including oscilloscopes function generators and digital volt meters.
- Basic soldering skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- IPC-A-610 or ability to acquire within three months after hire
