Key Responsibilities:
As a Health Paraprofessional, your primary focus will be on safeguarding the health and well-being of our students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Emergency Medical Response: Be prepared to administer immediate care, including the use of an epinephrine auto-injector (EpiPen), in cases of severe allergic reactions.
- Medical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for students, ensuring vital information is readily available.
- Health Education: Collaborate with school staff to educate students about health and safety practices.
- Health Screening: Conduct routine health checks and screenings to identify and address potential health concerns.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with parents, teachers, and school administrators to ensure a coordinated approach to student health.
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Valid EpiPen Certification: Must have completed specific training in the administration of epinephrine using an auto-injector. Proof of certification is required.
