We provide a complete line of equipment and services for storing, pumping, mixing and measuring petroleum and industrial liquids. Our customers come from a variety of industries including retail-fueling stations, commercial and government fleets.
SPATCO is looking for a Service Manager to join our growing team. We have recently promoted three of our service managers in the company, one of which has created an opening in our Nashville, TN branch. As a Service Manager, you play in intricate role in the success of the branch. You will organize, plan, direct and control the service department in such a way to meet company and customer objectives.
- Manages the branch location as an income center to achieve income and expense targets.
- Hiring the necessary personnel and perform formal review and evaluations.
- Ensure that employees follow safety policies and procedures, and that necessary safety equipment is available.
- Participates in the development of branch and employee goals.
- Overview the delivery of quality customer service at the branch through personal contract with customers and prospects.
- Participates in the development of branch performance and compliance with corporation policies and procedures.
- Oversee the direction of the branch staff to assure effective utilization of personnel, timely and objective performance evaluations, equitable salary structure and identifiable career paths for qualified interested candidates.
- Monitors the knowledge and skill levels of branch personnel to identify development and training needs. Participates with corporate training personnel in the development of training programs as needed.
- Meets regularly with staff to communicate objectives and goals, branch operating status and employee input to improve branch performance so that high quality information flows in both directions.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings to accommodate training, monitoring and supervisor coverage as needed.
- Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Four-year college degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Branch management experience, not required but a plus.
- Strong leadership skills to direct staff of up to 25 persons.
- Well-developed planning skills.
- Ability to listen and communicate well with employees and customers.
