Job Overview:
Spates Fabricators, Inc. is a floor and roof truss manufacturer that provides superior quality and service to the Residential Production Housing Industry of Southern California. We are a high-volume company, working up to 22 hours a day 6 days a week. We are currently pursuing an individual with high work ethics, leadership, and organizational skills to oversee and maintain our facility and production equipment lines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the oversight and the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the buildings/facilities, equipment and machinery, including production lines, grounds keeping, and overall facility appearance. The position supervises and coordinates the work of employees who repair and maintain building/facility, production equipment and machinery.
Duties:
- Lead all facility, grounds, equipment maintenance, and improvement efforts.
- Assign and oversee timely repair and preventative maintenance schedules for production equipment.
- Track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers.
- Manage inventory of hand tools and equipment necessary for facilities, grounds, and production machinery maintenance.
- Utilize the current CMMS system for assigning, documenting, and reporting on all repairs and maintenance.
- Plan and propose strategic capital expenditures to upper management.
- Maintain all inspection, audit, and maintenance records.
- Collaborate with upper management and HR on building safety, security, and emergency preparedness efforts.
- Assist with Monthly IIPP Yard and Office Safety Checklists and report them to the General Manager.
- Maintain Osha compliance by identifying and addressing workplace hazards as well as enforcing and following required safety procedures and protocols.
- Promote and exemplify efficiency, integrity, and professionalism, at all times.
- Various other duties/projects as assigned by the General Manager.

- Ability to analyze and report inefficiencies within current processes and develop strategies of improvement.

- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Thorough understanding of facilities, grounds, and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing setting including but not limited to hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and CNC systems/equipment.
- Strong ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required in the maintenance field.
- Must continually change, adapt and be flexible in all areas of responsibility.
- Fluent written and oral communication in both English and Spanish.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
