We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our passionate team of educators. The ideal candidate will foster a love of literature, writing, and critical thinking in students while cultivating a collaborative and engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement proficiency-based instruction and assessment aligned with Vermont’s ELA standards.
- Foster strong, supportive relationships with students to encourage academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment to enhance curriculum development and instructional practices.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technological tools to support diverse learning styles and needs.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure student success.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current in educational best practices.
- Support and contribute to the school’s commitment to building an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
- Valid Vermont Educator License or eligibility for Vermont licensure with an endorsement in English Language Arts (Grades 7-12).
- Experience with proficiency-based instruction and grading
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to relationship-building with students and colleagues.
- A masters degree in English or related field and willingness to engage in our concurrent enrollment program with CCV a plus .
