Responsibilities
- The Field Paramedic will perform patient care activities consistent with Federal, State, and department regulations.
- Documentation is completed per established guidelines and timeframes.
- The Field Paramedic ensures vehicle readiness and stock levels are maintained per department standards.
- The Field Paramedic will complete equipment inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Company vehicles are operated in accordance with organizational standards.
- DPH/OEMS mandated education is completed as required.
- Required Department education are completed, and certifications are maintained as required.
Skills
- Working knowledge of IFT equipment including portable ventilators and infusion pumps.
- Computer savvy.Knowledge of Microsoft office applications preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.
- Maintain flexible work schedule to provide patient care as needed. (evenings, holidays, weekends and travel).
Minimum Required Qualifications(All licenses and certificationsmustbe current.)
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with no current moving violations.
- MA EMT-P Certification.
- Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
- BLS Certification.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a field paramedic.
