Qualification Requirements:

Educational Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Completion of a pipefitting apprenticeship program (preferred).
Certifications and Licenses:
- OSHA safety certification or equivalent.
- Certification in pipefitting or related trades (e.g., NCCER Pipefitter Certification).
- Welding certification (e.g., ASME or AWS) if welding is required.
- First aid and CPR certification (preferred).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Familiarity with industry tools and equipment, including threading, welding, and cutting tools.
- Knowledge of pipe systems, materials (e.g., steel, copper, PVC), and installation techniques.
- Experience with specialized software, such as QuickPen Design or AutoCAD, for planning layouts.
Physical Abilities:
- Ability to lift heavy materials and tools.
- Capacity to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and various environmental conditions.
- Dexterity and coordination for precise installation and repair tasks.
Work Experience: (2-5 years preferred).
- Knowledge of construction site protocols and collaboration with other trades.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Competence in writing clear and concise reports and correspondence.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to speak before groups of customers or employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
- Read and analyze blueprints, sketches, and project specifications to determine material requirements and sequence of installation.
- Plan and prepare layouts for piping systems, considering structural elements and project constraints.
- Install and assemble piping systems using various materials such as steel, copper, and plastic, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality guidelines.
- Inspect piping systems for leaks and defects, performing necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in pipefitting, such as cutting, threading, and welding equipment.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and industry regulations during project execution.
- Provide input on cost estimation and resource allocation for projects based on technical analysis.
