Job Summary
The Grounds Crew plays a vital role in maintaining the aesthetics and functionality of outdoor spaces. This position involves a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance, lawn care, and tree care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for working outdoors.
Duties
- Perform routine lawn care activities including mowing, weedeating, landscaping, etc.
- Utilize power tools for various landscaping tasks such as trimming, edging, and digging.
- Maintain landscape features by planting flowers, shrubs, and trees as needed.
- Carry out tree trimming and care to ensure healthy growth and safety.
- Assist in building and maintaining landscape structures such as flower beds and pathways.
- Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify areas needing maintenance or repair.
- Responsible for overseeing and managing the collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste for both residential and commercial clients.
- Collect and dispose of trash from designated areas
- Safely handle and transport waste to designated disposal areas
- Maintain cleanliness of trash receptacles and surrounding areas
Qualifications
- Experience in lawn care or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools and equipment safely.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment upkeep is advantageous.
- Ability to dig, plant, and maintain various types of landscapes.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to pull a trailer
