Front End Developers serve on our Creative Team and have the ability to take concepts from our designers and build beautiful websites for our clients on our developer-centric CMS, SiteWrench, as well as Wordpress and other platforms. We are a multi-disciplinary team with a goal to help serve our clients with powerful, beautiful and functional websites that grow their business. We are driven by design, smart development, data, research and a continually renewed process to help us work more intelligently each and every day.
- The designer part is secondary, but you must have an eye to know if something looks bad.
- You can take a "flat" design comp and turn it into a responsive website setting up the CMS features to create an excellent editing user experience for our clients.
- You're a pro at writing HTML5, CSS along with scripting languages (we use SASS), and Javascript.
- You understand GIT and how to work on projects with multiple developers.
- You know how to request data from an API and then use the data to build a web page.
- You're comfortable receiving art assets from a variety of industry leading design tools like Figma to be converted into a responsive website.
- You are meticulous in your attention to detail, a missed href="#" in a live site makes you cringe.
- Bonus: You're good at PHP and are familiar with NPM.
- Double bonus: You can build with React and/or you have experience with Laravel.
What your day will look like:
- You'll be introduced to the project by the lead designer and carry his/her creative assets forward for your build. The designer will advise on approach where needed.
- You may occasionally train clients to use the CMS.
- You will meet with clients and the rest of your project team to understand requirements, client team capabilities, and what would create an excellent experience for them.
- You'll load, configure and style content.
- You'll do all QA checks including but not limited to Browser compliance, SEO best practices, ADA compliance/best practices.
Some of the characteristics we are looking for:
- You are composed - We need individuals who are comfortable managing multiple projects at once with sometimes tight turnaround times - all while keeping cool and composed.
- You love to help and learn - You love helping others and can give your time and knowledge generously to help us grow and become better each week.
- You solve problems - You're a strategic thinker and you can solve problems quickly to help our team and our clients keep moving.
- You value team - You're a team player at the core. If a teammate says "I need h..." you raise your hand before they finish their sentence.
- You serve clients - You derive great satisfaction building things that make clients happy and successful.
