We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatrics, working with children on the autism spectrum, and other communication disorders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment.
Duties:
Assist with Therapy Sessions: Support SLPs in implementing individualized treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, and monitoring progress in both the clinic and ABA centers.
Provide Direct Patient Care: Work directly with pediatric patients to practice communication skills, reinforce techniques introduced by the SLP, and assist in generalization of skills across settings.
Documentation: Accurately document patient progress, session notes, and any changes in patient behavior or performance as per state regulations and clinic protocols. The deadline for submitting weekly documentation is each Saturday at Midnight.
Parent and Caregiver Communication: Educate and inform parents and caregivers about their child’s progress, providing guidance on exercises and activities to continue at home. Parent education is required to be completed on a weekly basis by providing an update of the child’s progress for the week as well as assigning activities to be completed at home to assist with carryover of skills
Collaborative Work: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including SLPs, occupational therapists, ABA therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain Compliance: Adhere to all state regulations and clinic policies regarding patient confidentiality, ethical practice, and clinical documentation.
Administrative Support: Assist in scheduling appointments, preparing therapy materials, and maintaining therapy spaces in the clinic and ABA centers as needed. SST provides support for scheduling appointments, but clinicians are responsible to track and attempt to make up any missed visits. There are situations where visits cannot be made up.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology.

Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders
- TX Licensure as SLP-Assistant preferred
- Will assist with Deficency Plan
- Previous experience in working with children preferred.
