Job Overview: Our client is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance within a food manufacturing environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of production by managing maintenance efforts, developing preventive maintenance programs, and leading a team of technicians and mechanics.

- Evaluate and develop technician and mechanic skills.
- Develop and enforce compliance with the Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Plan and schedule maintenance efforts in line with production demands.
- Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve unscheduled production interruptions.
- Identify and order necessary repair parts.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Conduct interviews for technician and mechanic positions, and recommend hiring decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, programs, and procedures, and maintain discipline, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the food industry.
- 2 years of experience as a lead or maintenance supervisor.
- Demonstrated basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate employees.
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with GMP and safety regulations.
- Must be able to complete and pass a skills assessment.
- Must be bilingual in Spanish.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Spanish.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in enforcing compliance with safety and GMP standards.
