Job Description :
Our client is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Industrial Electrician Supervisor at its underground zinc operation. This role is located in Gouverneur, NY
Responsibilities :
Supervise and manage the electrical team.
Prioritize, coordinate, and layout work for the day.
Inventory, schedule, and order materials and supplies for upcoming work.
Assist with troubleshooting and repairing electrical components, including PLC panels, drives, motors, fans, VFDs, transformers, pumps, and generators.
Work with 4-20 mA, 4160, 13.8, AC up to 480v, 5kva, DC voltages.
Read and follow electrical prints.
Assist the electrical team both underground and on the surface as needed.
Develop knowledge of hoisting / crushing operations and troubleshoot them as necessary.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.
Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
Ability to communicate effectively with other department managers and employees.
Strong time management skills.
Experience with PLC systems, DC / AC drives.
Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Must be able to perform the work without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others due to the safety sensitivity of tasks.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
