Job Details:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment. He/she has the advanced skills to perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of data and other technical tasks necessary to produce images for interpretation by, and at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Required Qualifications:&
- Coursework/Training: Completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technologist training program.
- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board& upon hire.
- National Registered Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology& upon hire.
- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification& upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association& upon hire.
- 6 months& of experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year.
- 1 year& of experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program) – PREFERRED
Certifications:
1 – National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist 2 – National Registered Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire
3 – California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire
4 – National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire
