Our client is seeking a Direct Hire for an Senior Automation Engineer for its Wilmington, MA office . The position requires proven technical proficiency in implementing automation solutions using PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms, with a strong focus on leadership and project management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver innovative automation solutions and design standards independently or as a team leader.
- Conceptualize, detail, and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery.
- Develop control system architecture, select components, create schematic diagrams and system documentation, and program controllers (PLC, DCS, RTU).
- Develop and implement HMI / SCADA systems and databases for historical data archiving and display.
- Design and implement industrial networking using protocols like Ethernet / IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.
- Manage project execution plans, budgets, schedules, and project profitability up to $1M.
- Provide guidance to lower-level engineers and technicians.
- Oversee all aspects of automation projects in the Life Science industry, including testing, commissioning, and validation.
