What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist bartenders by keeping the bar fully stocked with liquor, beer, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies.
Clean and organize the bar and storage areas, ensuring they are well-maintained and free of clutter.
2. Prep garnishes and other ingredients to ensure smooth service during busy shifts.
3. Maintain inventory of liquor, beverages, and bar supplies, keeping track of stock levels and notifying management when restocking is necessary.
4. Assist with the setup and breakdown of the bar area before and after shifts.
5. Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests when needed, ensuring a positive experience.
6. Support the team in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
7. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
8. Knowledgeable in Food & Beverage/ SREC policies.
9. Other duties as assigned by Food & Beverage Director and/or C.E.O
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Ability to work under pressure with multi-patrons requesting assistance. Must work well with diverse personalities. Ability to deny drinks to patrons that may be past their alcohol limitations. Ability to count money and provide accurate change to customers. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bi-lingual English/ Spanish preferred. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of six month's related experience. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Must have basic mathematical capabilities to count currency and provide accurate change to customers. Must be culturally sensitive to minority population especially Native Americans; must be able to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and criminal history background check. Must be able to obtain and hold a Food Handlers card within 30 days of employment or present upon hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While preforming the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to work in an environment where loud music is played.
