What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveillance offc position at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Monitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting to the appropriate individual or entity for proper resolution.
2. Utilizes necessary equipment to identify, record, document, and report illegal, suspicious, or unusual activities occurring on the property.
3. Maintains working knowledge of all rules and policies for Speaking Rock Entertainment Center and ensures strict adherence throughout the property.
4. Protects company assets and gaming integrity, through the consistent monitoring of all activities on the property, particularly.
5. Supports other employees, supervisors, and executives within the company concerning the protection of assets in their respective departments.
6. Exercises a high degree of confidentiality at all times.
7.Coordinates with the Security Department when Surveillance discovers a matter, which needs further investigation or attention.
8. Assists Security Department and serves as Security Officer during daytime operations when necessary.
9. Ensures Surveillance systems are operational.
10. Responsible for keeping the surveillance room and office clean and tidy.
11. Facilitates the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled meetings.
12. Maintains constant and regular attendance records.
13. Accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
14. Makes suggestions and recommendations as appropriate concerning to possible changes in the policies and procedures of other departments, with the protection of company assets in mind.
15. Performs other position-related duties as assigned and required by the Surveillance Manager/CEO.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of and experience with closed circuit television equipment preferred. Must possess excellent observational and strong communication skills. Must be able to detect any schemes or cheating activities aimed at the company and/or its customers. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of problems involving several concrete and abstract variables. Must be able to maintain calm in emergencies situations. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be capable of multi-tasking and have excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of security operations and activities requiring a high level of human relationship skills.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED required, plus 1-3 years of strong administrative experience. Bi-lingual English/ Spanish preferred. Must be culturally sensitive to minority populations, especially Native Americans; must be able to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and criminal history background check. Ability to maintain focus and concentration for long periods. Must possess excellent customer service skills for dealing with diverse patrons. Must be able to work well under pressure. Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule to include 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on-call, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
