Senior Scientist/Scientist, Workflow Development:
We seek a highly innovative scientist to fill this newly created role. The ideal candidate will play a central role in advancing our platform by building the technology and creating automated workflow solutions that will enable our customers to execute our assays in the most streamlined methods possible, without sacrificing performance.
Responsibilities:

- Develop and optimize novel assay workflows, conducting experiments to demonstrate feasibility, characterize performance, and ensure robustness.
- Lead early-stage development of high-throughput and automated Spear Assay workflows.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and relevant literature, conducting extensive reviews to inform project decisions.
- Manage and develop junior staff, overseeing their projects and assignments.
Requirements:

- Ph.D. in Engineering, Bioengineering, Biophysics, Biochemistry, or a related field; 2 years of industry experience.
- Proven track record in workflow automation development, and/or immunoassay method development with ambitious timelines and deliverables.
- Hands-on experience optimizing performance of liquid-handlers from Formulatrix, SPT Labtech, TECAN, INTEGRA, or Hamilton.
- Familiarity with scheduling software for automation workflow.
- Expertise in computer aided design (CAD) software for labware consumable design or instrument component.
- Strong experience in microfluidics design and implementation.
- Strong programming skills in C#, Python, R, and/or MATLAB.
- Experience with instrumentation and LabVIEW programming is a plus.
- Advanced experience with sensitive analytical platforms such as Olink Multiplexed Immunoassays, Meso Scale Discovery (MSD), Luminex, and/or Quanterix Simoa.

- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, able to establish collaborative working relationships across teams.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Can work 5 days/week on-site in Woburn, MA.
